1848
Founded in Paris under the name A. Desjardins, the company began operations in the heart of the capital, close to the leading players in the canned food and cookie industries. Metal packaging quickly became a key element in food preservation and distribution.
1963
In response to its growth, the company established a facility in Gonesse, in the Paris region. This new facility has made it possible to increase production capacity and support the sector’s industrialization.
1982
Pierre Gachot took over the company and initiated a major industrial transformation. He spearheaded an ambitious technological drive, marked by the development of vacuum-packing technology, which significantly improved product preservation and protection.
At the same time,production facilities were modernized and quality processes were streamlined to meet the growing demands of the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries.
This period marked Desjardin’s entry into a new industrial era, founded oninnovation, performance, andoperational excellence.
The 2000s
Building on its expertise, Desjardin is increasing its production of boxes for the cosmetics industry. Significant investments are also being made to implement quality and CSR standards, resulting in the company obtaining ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 certifications, followed later by EcoVadis certification.
2015
Opening of a new production facility to develop custom packaging for the food and beverage, gourmet food, and cosmetics industries.
2023
